Stationed in the heart of the Lake District, our Survival Skills training camp in Elterwater is easily accessible to those that are living in the North of England and want to learn how to survive in the wild. With more and more people fleeing their homes and heading towards their nearby woodlands in search of safety, it’s important that you at least learn the basic survival skills.

Designed to accommodate a newcomer, our Survival Skills training camp will educate you on a variety of survival techniques including how to construct your own natural shelter and how to a light a fire. When you arrive, you’ll be presented with all the equipment needed whilst being presented with a full safety briefing.

For the overnight experience we will supply a hot evening meal and mugs of hot chocolate for you to enjoy. Participants for all experiences will need to bring warm and waterproof clothing, a sleeping bag, mat, and packed lunch and drink for the daytime.

The Course

Taking place at our survival skills training camp in Elterwater, you’ll learn all of the basic techniques needed to survive in the wild. Our experienced instructors will teach you such tips and tricks like how to light a fire from just a spark and how to build your own natural shelter – using only what the forest has to offer you. As well as this, you’ll undergo a brief lesson regarding navigation – picking up on valuable skills that will allow you to determine where is best to construct your shelter. You may also identify the tracks of small animals, allowing you to properly seek out food.

Upon reporting for duty, you’ll be equipped with all the equipment needed. Please be aware that you will be checked for symptoms of the Neurosal Mortis Virus. Any person found to possess any signs of the virus will be immediately presented to Government officials.
