A: It’s that of sadness right now Sarah. Sadness and also huge feelings of anger. Locals have begun to gather here in mourning after the bodies have finally been removed by local services and members of the JFL – they’ve been moving them to the nearby graveyards where they will be cremated to eradicate any Neurosal Mortis virus that may exist inside.

S: Is their anger solely directed towards the Zombies that caused this?

A: It’s actually not. In fact, I’d say most of the anger is being fully placed at the feet of General Parkinson. Locals and even the Mayor of Brighton, Pete West, have criticized not only the lack of involvement of the army resulting in higher casualties – but it’s the fact that the General continues to make the same mistakes over and over again. Nobody feels safe any more.

S: Do you believe it would be right for General Parkinson to step down after the horrific events that occurred at the Royal Pavillion?

A: Brighton’s people and the mayor certainly think that, and I believe that many other members of the public in the infected towns and cities of Southampton, Manchester, Norwich and Newcastle would think the same.

S: What is he doing wrong?

A: It’s as I stated earlier Sarah, he continues to make the same tactically naive decisions over and over again. It’s like in Norfolk when Zombies attacked the market town of Thetford – the smart thing to do would have been to neutralise the Zombies and stop the infection leaking out. Place the town on lock down. But he sent a lack of army personnel that were unable to fully control the hoard and Zombies got out of the town, and that ultimately resulted in the attack on Chedgrave. The same has happened here. The attack on Southampton has leaked out to Brighton and, worst of all, he fails to act – despite him being solely responsible for the attack. To me it’s stunningly stupid.

S: You seem personally upset by the incident…

A: I am Sarah. The scenes that I’ve seen here have been eye opening, to say the least. To see the Royal Pavillion, once a great national historic icon of England, blood-stained, covered in corpses of both the young and old has been heart-breaking. I’ve seen families torn apart and left in tears as they see their loved ones dragged out in rags. It’s been devastating and emotional to see what people have gone through.

S: What action should be taken to stop this happening again?

A: General Parkinson, first of all, needs to admit his mistakes and make sure they don’t happen again. The aim then should be to make sure that the surrounding areas of Brighton are safe – it’s quite possible that Zombies could have made their way out of the building and out of the city during the chaos.

S: Lets hope General Parkinson listens, Alexander…

A: For the nations sake, I hope so.

Alexander Mcintosh reports on the Brighton Outbreak https://corpze.com/blog/alexander-mcintosh-reports-on-the-brighton-outbreak/ https://corpze.com/blog/alexander-mcintosh-reports-on-the-brighton-outbreak/#respond Fri, 17 Mar 2017 14:41:42 +0000 https://corpze.com/blog/?p=92 “Tourists have today become victims as hoards of Zombies made their way through the city centre towards the mass amount of civilians which congregated within the grounds of Brighton’s Royal Pavillion. As of yet, nobody has come out of the historic building alive, which has led many to believe that the hundreds of civilians inside have been brutally murdered by the Zombies.

The exact number of casualties as of now remains unknown, with JFL members, who appear to be the first on sight, still struggling to obtain any control of the palace, presumably due to the high amount of fresh Zombies who have just been infected with the Neurosal Mortis.

The Zombies are thought to have come in from the west prior to attacks on Southampton in recent weeks. As of now, the question being asked by many locals is; Have we learned our lesson throughout any of these outbreaks? How do these disasters continuously keep happening? And, most importantly, what is General Parkinson and his troops going to do to keep our country safe? Because at the moment, there’s not a clear answer in sight and the future of England continues to look bleak.”

ZNN’s Sara Allen reports from Southampton https://corpze.com/blog/znns-sara-allen-reports-from-southampton/ https://corpze.com/blog/znns-sara-allen-reports-from-southampton/#respond Mon, 20 Feb 2017 12:00:24 +0000 https://corpze.com/blog/?p=87 Sara Allen reporting from a Southampton ‘safe zone’

“The risk of infection remains critical in Southampton amid what is surely one of the worst undead outbreaks ever seen.

Early estimates suggest that the city has been flooded by in excess of 20,000 infected , with a tenth of the city’s population now suffering with the deadly Neural Mortus Virus.

The city centre remains the worst affected area with crowds of people still struggling to escape the outbreak, and armed officers from Hampshire Constabulary being overrun by the undead.

Military reinforcements have now arrived in the city, and despite being hugely outnumbered, General Parkinson and his men are making good progress.

The situation remains serious though and to prevent further infection those free of NMV-18 are being evacuated to to the safety of nearby towns and cities.

Troops have urged members of the media to relocate to uninfected areas, but you can expect further updates from myself and ZNN news throughout the coming days ”  20.02.2017

Know the warning signs: General Parkinson’s Civilian Survival Guide https://corpze.com/blog/know-the-warning-signs-general-parkinsons-civilian-survival-guide/ https://corpze.com/blog/know-the-warning-signs-general-parkinsons-civilian-survival-guide/#respond Tue, 07 Feb 2017 17:03:47 +0000 https://corpze.com/blog/?p=78 To the untrained eye the early signs of infection can be easy to miss, but by familiarising yourself with the following information, you will save lives….

  1. Smell   – The infected have a very distinctive smell, which makes them easily identifiable in confined spaces such as the home. As infection spreads, the undead’s organs begin to decay and their flesh starts to rot, creating a distinctive smell thats impossible to ignore. There may be no visible signs of infection or decay, but by using your nose you can avoid potentially lethal contact with the undead.
  2. Responsiveness – The brain is one of the first organs affected by the infection, and the early warning signs range from short term memory loss, to complere unresponsiveness. If a loved one fails to recognise their fellow family members, or struggles to remember basic personal details such as their name you should contact the authorities immediately.   At this stage very little may have changed in terms of appearance, but that doesn’t make the infected any less dangerous to your personal safety.
  3. Eyes – The eyes of the infected appear hazy, glazed over and unresponsive. Even low levels of infection in the bloodstream can lead to blurred vision, temporary loss of sight or complete blindness.     Such symptoms are almost impossible to identify though, and you shoud instead look for signs of PPS (Padlock Palpbra Syndrome). This as yet unexplained phenomenon render the undead incapable of blinking or closing their eyes – a surefire what to spot infection.
  4. Skin Colour – Even at the earliest signs of infection the undead’s skin appears pale in colour. In severe cases it may even appear to be grey or blue, which is particularly evident in natural light. A change in skin colour is the most obvious signs of infection, and should be acted upon immediately.
  5. High Aggression, Low Intelligence – The infected are highly aggressive and incredibly unintelligent, which makes them dangerously unpredictable. Studies have shown that the undead display the above visual characteristics before any notable changes in behaviour. However, in my experience the infected behaviour can change almost instantly, which means any change in a persons ‘normal’ behaviour may be an early sign of infection. Further analysis of undead behavioural traits is expected to confirm this theory

Please remember a prompt diagnosis will not save the life of the infected, but it may save your own.

Just who is Zoe Reed – the story behind JFL’s very private leader https://corpze.com/blog/just-who-is-zoe-reed-the-story-behind-jfls-very-private-leader/ https://corpze.com/blog/just-who-is-zoe-reed-the-story-behind-jfls-very-private-leader/#comments Fri, 27 Jan 2017 16:25:20 +0000 https://corpze.com/blog/?p=62 Part one

Flowers on the floor, a single photo of a man and child on her wall, they are the only signs of life that I can see in our temporary interview place in the back of a small truck. For the woman who sits before me doesn’t seem alive, nor is she dead, but she has a stern look on her face with eyes that showed no emotion. Zoe Reed, small in stature, struck me as a woman who had seen everything a person isn’t supposed to see and now had become immune to all the criticism that has been thrown at her and her organisation. It would be hard to tell that this was the face of a woman who in reality has the pressures of the whole world on her shoulders.

“Murderers, trouble makers, terrorists.”

I relay the words to Zoe who looks back at me with the same blank expression on her face. It’s clear to see that underneath that hard exterior that these words do in-fact cut deep.

For those who don’t know her, Zoe Reed formed the Justice for the Living organisation 4 years ago due to what she describes as a “lack of action” from General Parkinson. Since then she’s fought in many battles, with her stories of bravery and fearlessness infecting the nation.

But many have turned against her, mainly due to General Parkinson who has continued to label the JFL a “terrorist organisation”. Events in Manchester haven’t helped Zoe’s cause either. James Burkenshaw, Chief of Police for Greater Manchester, claimed that the officers who past away in the Zombie attack that struck Heydale, in Rochdale, earlier this year were killed by the hands of JFL. It’s resulted in many different local authorities threatening imprisonment of JFL members, thus lowering the amount of citizens willing to sign up and help Zoe.

“Why did you form the JFL?” I ask as she ignores my first statement.

“To give our nation the slightest bit of hope”, she responds quickly.

“Yeah, but what made you form it?” I reply, pointing towards the photo on the wall.

To me, the flowers and photo, which she obviously carries with her from location to location as she aims to defend those in need, were more than just objects. They looked to be the reason behind the creation of the JFL. The reason why she continues to do all this despite intense criticism. They looked to hold immense sentimental value to her. The photo didn’t represent her life now, it showed me the life she had before this Zombie infection spread across the country – something we know very little about.

They’re my boys. My husband and son.”

I enquired further, treading carefully around what is obviously a very difficult situation for anyone. But instead she talked instead with confidence and without any emotional hesitation. These were her inspirations, something she didn’t mind talking about.

I found myself hanging onto every word she said. It’s easy to see now why people listen and follow her. She talks with such passion and confidence. She told me of how she met her husband, James, in her home town of Pontypridd, Wales. Before the Zombie apocalypse they had a life, they had a future, and they had a son, Harvey. I plucked up the courage to ask the all important question.

“What happened?”

“They got infected.” she says, as her eyes stare into a single white lilly rose she’s now taken into the grasp of her hands.

It was 4 years ago, the death of her loved ones. A holiday, ironically, in the sunny sea-side town of Cornwall. She allows herself to break a smile as she recalls how James took Harvey down to the golden, sandy and vibrant beach bright and early every morning that holiday, the over-eager 6 year-old unable to contain his excitement. She on the other hand was able to sleep in and relax, a break from ‘reality’ as she called it.

But then, the horror struck. The smile that broke has now vanished. She tells of how she went down to the beach a little later, only to see a beach that had turned a vast shade of red. It was swarmed with Zombies. Holiday makers saw their dream day out turn into a nightmare. Zoe saw her life turn upside down.

“I had to run. I knew their fate. It was clear what happened. They couldn’t have survived it could they, nobody did.”

She seems to blame herself. She completes her sentence quickly and almost wants me to tell her that she was right, that they did die and that she was right to leave, but I suppose that’s what kills her the most inside. Not having closure. Not being there with them when it happened.

I believe, to her, the creation of the JFL is one step closer to that closure. She takes it out on the one thing she knows she can blame, the Zombies. .

“I suppose you could say that [I created the JFL in memory of them]. I think about them, always, but I don’t want anybody else to go through what I have. Too many people have lost loved ones, had their world pulled from underneath them. Futures destroyed. It’s those who are left behind who suffer most. I’ve suffered and I want justice. I want them gone. I want General Parkinson to take responsibility for the deaths. He’s a source of the problem due to sheer neglect. If it isn’t exterminated, it could kill us all”.

Part 2 of this insightful interview continues next week.

Norwich Outbreak – The Chedgrave invasion update https://corpze.com/blog/norwich-outbreak-chegrave/ https://corpze.com/blog/norwich-outbreak-chegrave/#respond Mon, 23 Jan 2017 13:23:30 +0000 https://corpze.com/blog/?p=55 The city of Norwich and its surrounding villages have been placed on a ‘high-alert’ as General Parkinson updates the area to a Category 3, meaning there is a substantial risk of further attacks. This occurs after 6 Local residents in the small village of Chedgrave became the latest victims of the Neurosal Mortis Virus that continues to sweep across the United Kingdom.

The incident occurred at approximately 18:35 GMT at the Beauchamp House residential care home on Proctor Road. Colleagues, who wish not to be named, had been notified about the sighting of Zombies ‘a couple of hours earlier’ by residents, but dismissed them on the basis of some of the residents ‘mental-health’ issues. Colleagues were quick, but not quick enough, to realise that in fact residents had been telling the truth.

The attack occurs just under an hours drive away from the devastation that occurred in the town of Thetford, which claimed the life of many – including Zoe Reed’s, leader of the JFL, close personal friend Mike Brown.

Emergency services and a small army team were sent immediately to the location by General Parkinson and they were quick to neutralise the problem.

Speaking to ZNN, General Parkinson said;

The unfortunate events of residents at the residential home in Chedgrave should act as a warning to everyone throughout the UK. If someone reports a Zombie sighting it should be taken with full seriousness as a precaution.”

The Zombies, that attacked Chedgrave, are being directly linked to the same hoard that attacked Thetford. Since there was only a dozen Zombies, General Parkinson has put the city of Norwich and it’s surrounding villages on ‘high-alert’ with the remaining hoard still on the loose.

We believe that a hoard of Zombies is still on the loose but have been separated due to different movement speeds. These Zombies were NMV-018’s and slow moving, meaning that they weren’t able to do much damage to the whole of Chedgrave and were easily exterminated by our armed forces. Norwich and its surrounding areas will be monitored by armed forces for the coming days and in-turn we are updating the country of Norfolk to Category 3 with there being a substantial risk of attack.”

With swift action being taken by General Parkinson, Zoe Reed had this to say:

General Parkinson does have to be commended for his swift action in this circumstance. What is more evident though is the fact that Zombies are obviously on the move to Norwich and other surrounding areas. There is a war coming and I urge the General to provide more support to the area in coming days.”

Asked if JFL members would be relocated to the area, a firm “Yes” was the answer from the Leader.

If anyone has seen or been informed of the location of any Zombies they must act immediately and call the Police on 999.

Indentify the virus – a guide to the NMV strains https://corpze.com/blog/guidetonmvstrains/ https://corpze.com/blog/guidetonmvstrains/#respond Thu, 12 Jan 2017 09:56:49 +0000 https://corpze.com/blog/?p=47  Released by Zombie Research Facilitiy (ZRF)  12/01/17

The Neurosal Mortis Virus (NMV), that has led to the wave of zombie attacks over recent years, has different strains – with the different strains showing different characteristics. Knowing the key characteristics to each NMV will allow you to know their strengths and weaknesses in which case you can make a proper evaluation on how to deal with the Zombie when confronted.

The different strains of the NMV can be broken up into 3 sub-categories;

  • NMV-018

  • NMV-029

  • NMV-049

NMV-018

Movement

The 018’s are the strain of Zombie with the least brain capacity. This brain deficiency issue stops them from moving as quickly and in some cases the Zombie can only crawl.

Characteristics

They look like your stereotypical Zombie as they’re the most simple form of the virus. A way to notice an 018 is distinct leg dragging as their limbs aren’t fully functional. They have a pale complexion. They also have a distinct groan, meaning they’re unable to sneak up on their targets.

Weaknesses

Shooting a limb renders them almost useless. Traps, due to their unintelligent nature, work great.

NMV-029

Movement

The 029 is the most advanced stage of the virus to our knowledge. The 029’s high brain capacity means they’re able to attack at speed. They can not form lactic acid, which ultimately means they have a significant amount of endurance meaning they’ll never stop the chase.

Characteristics

029’s have fully functional limbs so have a complete running style, just like a human, meaning they’re easily differentiated from an 018. The 029’s due to their ability to feed possess a red/orange complexion (this can differ upon how long the Zombie has been dead). 029’s do let out a loud screech, but this is to just inform other Zombies that there is a human nearby. 029’s do not let out a loud screech if they’re perform a sneak attack on their victim.

Weaknesses

Guns are needed against the 029’s. If you shoot their legs off, they are more or less useless as their main advantage is their speed.

NMV 049

Movement

The 049’s are suspect to day light due to a brain deficiency. Despite this, once they find themselves outside of contact from the sunlight they’re extremely mobile, just like an 029.

Characteristics

The 049’s have fully functional limbs, just like the 029’s, but instead possess a blue complexion. This pale blue complexion is due to lack of sunlight. A feature that makes the 049 so deadly is it’s ability to see in the dark, like a nocturnal animal, and it possesses immense hearing. 049’s, like the 029’s, can make no noise if needed but let out a loud screech if they wish to alert other Zombies to their location.

Weaknesses

A strong bright light attached to the end of the weapon is enough to make the Zombie useless. Beware though a light-bulb, for example, won’t be powerful enough to work.

Lastest in Birmingham and Newcastle https://corpze.com/blog/lastest-in-birmingham-and-newcastle/ https://corpze.com/blog/lastest-in-birmingham-and-newcastle/#respond Fri, 04 Nov 2016 17:00:05 +0000 http://corpze.com/blog/?p=41 Thousands of Birmingham residents were left to transition into the undead after General Parkinson’s army failed to stop zombies swarming into the town.

In a chilling repeat of the events in Heywood earlier this week, members of the local police force were the first victims of the attack, before the community at large were hounded down.

Reports claim there could now be up to 25,000 zombies in the West Midlands city, with many of the evacuated residents urging for JFL to return, after the group were told to leave following the murder of members of the police force in Manchester a couple of days prior.

Reports from the town are unconfirmed, as it has been evacuated and cordoned off under the orders of Prime Minister Davies. ZNN have been refused permission to cross the border.

Nearby, in Newcastle, many pleaded for senior members of JFL to return, as many new recruits fled to the outskirts of the city to protect from oncoming attacks.

“We can’t let what happened in Birmingham and Manchester happen again” local anti-zombie activist Ruth Stephenson, 19, told ZNN. “We need to get more new recruits on the front lines to make sure the disease doesn’t spread into major towns and cities.

“Every time we stop asking JFL for help, or blame them for the attacks, we are left with only a police force who are hesitant to kill zombies as the armed forces always go AWOL. It is commendable that the police want to protect the public without using lethal force, but in the current climate, that is impossible”.

Meanwhile, after condemning them as a “terrorist organisation” in a speech yesterday, chief of police for Greater Manchester James Burkenshaw told reporters he would not forgive JFL until he received test results proving his officers were killed due to an imminent zombie transition. “I usually believe in innocent until proven guilty, but in this case, we have to be cautious. My trust is entirely with General Parkinson on all zombie issues”.

He refused to comment on the Birmingham case and its parallels with the Manchester attack.

ZNN Exclusive: Zoe Reed talks about the Graveyard attack. https://corpze.com/blog/znn-exclusive-zoe-reed-talks-about-the-graveyard-attack/ https://corpze.com/blog/znn-exclusive-zoe-reed-talks-about-the-graveyard-attack/#respond Wed, 26 Oct 2016 16:23:28 +0000 http://corpze.com/blog/?p=30 “It has taken years of fighting zombies to get to this moment, but today I finally fought the undead scum on a graveyard. All the zombie movies I used to watch as a kid always had the heroes facing off against their enemies near churches, so I’ve been waiting for ages for it to finally happen. Well, today my dream came true, the chance to finally live out my movie fantasies- and as you may have read in the news, it quickly turned into a nightmare.”

“I don’t like talking about my feelings here. I’ve always believed feelings make you weaker and you need all the strength you can when you’re in my position. But as I charged up the steps in the churchyard, leading my troops to battle, I heard the most blood curdling scream imaginable- I had misjudged the battlefield and didn’t notice the zombie attackers creeping up behind us. Mike Brown, the most talented warrior I have ever seen, was the first victim. I had never heard him scream before, but it was the most disturbing thing I’d ever heard, like a hawk being violently shaken. Here was a fierce, unbeatable soldier wiped out in seconds because of a tiny tactical mistake I made. I saw the look in his eyes as he went, he definitely blamed me.”

“In just seconds, he was wiped away- we killed him before he transitioned, making sure he never became one. This was far more important than killing the others. But I couldn’t show my feelings. The future of mankind is more important than my dumb feelings. Nothing really felt the same afterwards; my fellow soldiers dropped like flies and the rest of the zombies the remaining warriors killed that evening turned into a blur. We were victorious on the battlefield, but it will never start feeling like a victory, no matter what the history books may say”.

“You may have beat us on this battle, but the war is still ours to be won. The zombie war continues…”

ZNN Exclusive: Zoe Reed, JFL comments on the Norfolk Attack https://corpze.com/blog/zoereednorfolk/ https://corpze.com/blog/zoereednorfolk/#respond Wed, 12 Oct 2016 23:36:22 +0000 http://corpze.com/blog/?p=19 ZNN’s Sara Allen speaks to Zoe Reed exclusively.

Resdients of Thetford are still recovering from the recent zombie attack in the sleepy Norfolk town. Villages across the region are becoming increasingly flooded with the undead attackers, who experts believe are making their way from the city to the villages in order to feast on the more mature brains of the older residents.

Different vigilante groups are using this as yet another wake up call for people in the local area to sign up to their cause. Zoe Reed, leader of the rebel organisation, Justice for the Living, said ‘its about time the residents of Thetford, like the rest of the UK, woke up to a reality that we are in the middle of an invasion’

‘After the last horrific attack in the County, we must unite and  protect ourselves at all costs. The undead scum are trying to take our lives on a near deadly basis, but we aren’t going to let them take us without a fight’

Mrs Reed was visibly shaken from the recent battle at a Norfolk church but she declined to comment in detail when asked about the affect this has had. Many of her fellow group members were casualties of this attack, including her second-in-command, disgraced former Army sergeant “mad” Mike Brown.

‘The graveyard attack was a minor victory for our team, but we need more recruits if we are going to stop them from further infecting the city. I’ve lost  a lot of people  close to me and I sure as hell aren’t going  to let them take anymore. We urgently need people more people to sign up and join our fight’

There have been no more sightings of the undead in the area in recent weeks, although the militant group are remaining in the town until they find enough new recruits to join their mission against the undead.

Coming up – Zoe Reed , the full story of the graveyard attack
